When it comes to performance the 2020 Ford Explorer is lighter and leaner than previous generations. Explorer, XLT and Limited trims come standard with the 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine. Hybrid models get a 3.3.L hybrid. Platinum trims get a 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine producing 365 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. ST trims get a tuned version of the 3.0L EcoBoost V6 that puts out 400 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque.

Infotainment & Technology

SYNC3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on every 2020 Ford Explorer along with FordPass Connect. An 8" touch touchscreen is standard and a 10.1" touchscreen (as pictured) with split-screen capability is optional.
