AWD Escape with 1.5L EcoBoost engine, is 26 mpg city, 31 mpg highway and 28 mpg combined.

With the bigger 2.0L EcoBoost engine, it's 23 mpg city, 31 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined.

S

An entry-level model that's well equipped with standard features and also available in AWD. A 1.5L EcoBoost turbocharged engine is paired with an 8- speed automatic transmission.

Ford's new safety set called Co-Pilot360™ comes standard on the Escape S trim level.

Cloth bucket seats have manual adjustments on the driver and passenger side. Remote start is available but is an optional extra on the S (kind of important in our Scottsbluff Nebraska climate, so hopefully Doug, our inventory guy ordered some with remote start added). If you can't find one with remote start, we'll happily order you one, then we can blame Doug.

Exterior features include LED signature lighting and configurable daytime running lamps.

Ford Pass Connect is also standard.

SE

Moving up to the SE trim level on the 2020 Escape, adds Intelligent Access with Push-Start button (keyless entry), and a 10-way power driver seat. Automatic temperature control for climate is added along with SYNC® 3.

Having SYNC® 3 brings connectivity to the next level with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. This means seamless smartphone integration to allows handsfree texting, calling and navigation. That's right, as long as you have cell service, the map from your (compatible) phone can be projected on to the screen in the car.

Sirius XM radio is added for more music and talk show options.

Ford Co-Pilot360™ is also included but has the option of upgrading to include Adaptive Cruise Control. ACC is a super fancy cruise control that will apply the brakes if it detects a vehicle going slower in front of you.

On the exterior, 2020 Ford Escape SE trims get privacy glass on the rear windows, heated side-view mirrors, and chrome grille surround.

SE Sport Hybrid

Powered by a Hybrid 2.5L iVCT Atkinson-Cycle I-4 engine, the Escape SE Sport Hybrid has great fuel economy. EPA estimates (with AWD) are; 43 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway and 40 mpg combined.

The newer and much smaller battery takes up less of the cargo area compared to older models.

Ford Escape SE Sport Hybrids are available in FWD or AWD with an 88kw electric motor.

In Spring 2020, a plug-in hybrid will be available.

Does this make it a mean, green, driving machine? By the way, it even comes in green. Not kidding, it's called Dark Persian Green and it's actually really nice!

SEL

Escape SEL trims come with the 1.5L EcoBoost engine as standard but the 2.0L EcoBoost becomes an optional extra. Also added is the Reverse Sensing System (you know the beepers to stop you backing into stuff, those). Wheels are upgraded to 18"Aluminum and seat material becomes ActiveX. Active X seat material is a partial-leather fabric tougher than cloth.

Side mirrors have a memory function, and the steering wheel is leather-wrapped and heated (hooray for heated steering wheels on cold days in Scottsbluff, Nebraska!)

Chrome moldings around the side windows and front grille add some more luxury appearance.

Wait for it... this is a super handy feature: Hands-Free Foot-Activated Tailgate (the one you do a kicking action under the rear bumper). If you're not too embarrassed to 'kick' thin air in public, this feature is great when carrying items that require both hands!

Halogen fog lamps are exclusive to the SEL. Cruise around looking cool (if it's legal), or use them when it's, you know, foggy.

2020 AWD SUV Cargo Space in Ford Edge

Titanium

2020 Escape Titanium trim levels have everything. Ok, maybe not the kitchen sink, or the ability to teleport, but, it is loaded as far as small SUV's go.

Choose any engine for a Titanium, including the hybrid (which is actually standard believe it or not).

Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering is added.

Seating is leather-trimmed and if you care about your passenger, the passenger seat is 6-way power-adjustable. Again, if you care about your passenger, the Titanium trim adds Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control. This means the driver can set the temperature to scorching hot and the passenger freezing cold at the same time. No idea what happens to the people in the back.

If jamming out in the car or practicing karaoke is your thing. Titanium trims get a B&O sound system with 10 speakers and a subwoofer. Nothing to do with dogs below par by the way.

Optional, is a heads up display. Your speed (or whatever variable you choose) is projected onto the windshield. Like a fighter pilot. Kinda.

There's more.

Auto-dimming rear-view mirror. That's right, to the person driving behind with full beams on. Doesn't matter, can't blind me in my Ford Escape Titanium. [insert smug-looking emoji|. Blind them back with the LED foglamps that come standard. Joking, don't do that, it's super antisocial and dangerous.

Ambient lighting. There's even a choice of colors. For real.

Not done yet.

Also standard is Active Park Assist, because truthfully, it's kind of embarrassing when you hit the curb trying to parallel park. For the fancy Nancy's, Escape Titanium's also come with a Universal Garge Door Opener.

Oooh oh oh, Rain Sensing Wipers. Yup. Just remember to turn them off in the car wash. The car doesn't know the difference (yet).
